The Green Swamp

I have been working pretty hard to get an accurate map of what plants are on the TNC property of the Green Swamp. I have logged hundreds of plant locations and taken many pics. If you have a 56k connection, you may not want to see this. I even got to parts of the Swamp that is so remote that most people won't go.

Great stuff. It appears in the first flowering Sarracenia pictures that the surrounding area has been burned? Was it controlled or natural? Or am I completely mistaken?

Unlike most times you are not mistaken. The area was burned a couple of months ago. The TNC did a controlled burn.

You will notice that there are many pics of that same plant. I am going to put the pics together and do a full year of pics from the same angle. I hope it turns out really cool.
