SNOW!

Hey all! What a blizzard yesterday! Here are some photos!

A carefully shoveled walkway on campus

Mysterious mounds in the parking lot.

The parking lot so carefully plowed to ensure traction for all types of vehicles. This is especially safe and provides great traction for 2 wheel drive vehicles.

This is a parking space my roomate found for his truck. I wonder if he'll get a parking violation for parking over the lines.

This all happened at SUNY Cobleskill. Cobleskill, NY 12043. College is certainly an adventure.

lol we got 2 feet at SUNY Geneseo... first day classes have been cancelled due to snow in 14 years here!!!!

Nep G......................what have the temps been like?..................don know which is worse.........your 6 feet of snow or my -50 before wind chill

Temps here have been in my eyes (all my 19 years living in the North) moderately cold, an approx range of (25F to -19F). I must say this is the heaviest snow I've seen in about 10 years.

AWSOME! I wish you could send some of it here.

Richmond is always "on the line." :(

If the rain we got had been snow, they said we would have had 2 feet. Now that the moisture has moved out, its freakin' COLD. We can't seem to get the cold and the moisture together at the same time. We are always "on the line." *sigh*

Lucky, lucky, lucky!!! We haven’t even gotten a good amount of rain here. Make a snowman dedicated to me!:-O

The storm steered up too far inland, so NY got the snow and we got about 3" of dry sleet & snow that was perfect for building an igloo. If I was still interested in building an igloo. Which I wasn't, becaue my wife & daughter were scheduled to fly to AZ in the middle of the storm and we spent the day getting to and from the airport, with a long period of waiting and recovering their luggage in between. They were able to get seats for tomorrow and to extend their return by a few days, so it works out fine for them. But some people headed to busier places, like Florida, couldn't find flights until Sunday. One family had a Wed - Wed Orlando vacation planned and walked away from the waiting area trying to decide whether it was worth going for only a couple days. I don't think my wife will be planning any more trips in February.
