You cannot really seem them that well but these are some of the filiformis babies I sowed last year. The others are in other pots since I seem to pot them in every single pot I can now. They are like companions..no they are more like protectors of all my other plants. I love em.

Here's my pot of filiformis last year. This year i divided the clump and spread a bunch of seed so i can have a REALLY big clump

my little all red seedlings seem to be speeding up,bit more sun and lots of small gnats has done the trick

Just looked at my first post on this thread from 6/8/13 to compare growth of my leaf cutting plantlets!!!!!!

Had to save this one. It started dying on me so this is how it looks now since I cut all of the dead and or dying leaves off

And D. Filiformis tracyi won't stop growing

Blumax was kind enough to give me one of his filiformis "Florida All Red" plants and it turned totally red after I put it outside in full sun. The wind was beating it up, so it is now in the greenhouse awaiting repotting into soil. I am totally in love with this plant, thank you Mark!

Those are the ones that don't need winter dormancy right? Can they go dormant if conditions permit or will dormancy kill it? Thanks tho. I have a tracyi leaf cutting that has like 5 strikes now. They're only little stumps now but it'll be beastly soon!!!!!

Are you kidding me, it looked great when I got it. I did not expect it to turn that nice red, but I would have loved it regardless. It is much more delicate looking than the filiformis x tracyi I have.

LOL. Not choking it, holding up the leaves to where they were before the wind battered it.

I hear they don't need a dormancy but will go dormant if conditions change or for no obvious reason, but I don't have experience with this variety except one in the past that did not survive winter outside here. I recently acquired a few seedlings (thank you sss) that went dormant after shipping and took a few weeks to come out of it. This is why I am waiting to repot this new one as I don't want it to go dormant prematurely. I am going to try this red variety outside again over winter, this time with some protection.
