Sarracenia with new spring pitchers, no flower.

Hello!

I just wanna know if this is normal. My sarracenia is outside, fullsun, rain etc.
many new pitchers, but no flower hamp.
The temps outside is 20-30C the day and the night 10-20C with 50 to 60% RH at night and maybe 35-50% the days
Always on a rain water tray.

I think its a s.alata or rubra. Im not sure.

Sarracenias usually have some years where they just don't flower... It really depends if the plant is new, how the conditions of the last year were for it, and a bunch of other factors...

How long have you had the plant? New Sarracenia won't generally flower their first year, and if young, there's no guarantee they will flower in year two either.

I buy this sarracenia in september last year, in a giftshop, the plant was almost dead. I put it in good conditions just in time for dormancy, and in late october, it become dormant. I saw new pitchers in late feb, and the plant grow well now. I can see insects in some pitchers. But no flower. Maybe the plant is too young like you say?

Or very bad conditions last year prevent flower popup?

If the plant was "almost dead" when you got it, you can expect it to need one to two years of good growing conditions before it will be ready to flower. Resuscitating other people's abused/neglected plants is a chore and a half!
