Is it necessary to stratify the seeds before sowing if I live at the equator? Will the seeds germinate without cold treatment?

They need stratification wherever they are in the world! :-D

Stick them in the fridge for 5 weeks, wet.

Is 50degF cold enough in the vegetable compartment? Or should I freeze the seeds?

Hi Cindy

That should work - there's no need to freeze.

A refridgerator might be better though since they stay at around 40F.
