Sarracenia from Seed!!

Seedlings from Fred P

I once told Fred in a couple of years i'm going to have a spot in my yard dedicated to his hybrids. I think he thought I was kidding but, nope, its going to happen. Thanks for so many great seedlings and seeds Fred.

I'm Looking forward to seeing it Eric!! Great growing!

Here are some from a week ago

Nice work Vic. I want to see this plant once it hits flowering stage. This was a cross I was thinking about doing this past spring but never did. Hope you have more in this grex.

alata red/black x Kilimanjaro

I love the variation in hybrids. The first 2 plants look like siblings but the third looks like a colorful Kilimanjaro to me.

Willisii x alata red/black

I love the seedlings from this seed batch. The almost black plant is my favorite and the leuco-ish plant is the most surprising looking seedling.

S. leucophylla purple and white giant form x flava rubricorpora

I just love these. Most of the seedlings turned out great.

alata nigrapurpurea x Leah Wilkerson

Couple of different plants.

Evendine x flava

Very nice size for a 2 yr old.

flava x Evendine

Very nice plants in these seedlings.

Thanks Tony!

Moorei(green tube, red lid) x flava atropurpurea

flava atropurpurea x flava ornata

leuco x flava ornata

Unknown hybrid

I'm guessing its some kind of alata/rubra hybrid though.

Leah Wilkerson x Oreo

Seed grown Moorei

flava rubricorpora

flava rubricorpora x purp montana

7+ month old seedlings

Thanks Vic and I still havent posted pics of the seedlings you sent me. Post some later. Your moorei x Leah W. hybrid looks great. So does the purp/moorei....and the Brunswick Beauty hybrid.

Looks great Tony. Love the rosea/lueco(???) hybrid.

Thanks. Whatever it is the thing is vigorous, seems like each new pitcher doubles in size. I may have to move it up another pot size or two before the end of the season if it keeps growing like this. :0o:

Fresh photos ;)

Agreed, the leuco x Kimber is fantastic, and that leuco x Glider has a stunning lid! Also really a fan of that leuco alba, been wanting one of those for a long time....so white......

I can finally contribute to this thread after a couple years of watching everyone else's work... My seedlings are starting to show a little bit of individuality and size now so figured i'd snap some pics.. I started these really late, and they sat in strat in the fridge for a loooonnnggg time due to my personal life issues, so i'm just glad to see any germination at all.. There were a couple that were duds, and sadly all of the seed from Brooks didn't have a great germination ratio compared to the others.. wonder why.. oh well, im just glad I got a few out of each batch.

Growing them under 24 hour light, in a big grow room that has 1000w HPS lights at the cieling.. The tray has a dome with a single T5 sitting on it as well for extra light...
