S. Daina's Delight!!!!

After spending the entire summer with nothing but phyllodia leaves. My S. Daina's Delight has sent up its first pitcher which finally opened up today while I was at work

That thing is TALL!!!

Now I'm praying it finishes developing. *Crosses fingers*

It's just started to color up and is probably not getting optimum sun. That's what it was given to me as

If grown in full sunlight, yes, the plant will get shades of deep magenta when the pitchers fully mature. That being said, if the plant is not getting blazing sunlight all day, it may stay on the light side of the shades of pink. You're thinking of when they get to looking like this:

Those look just like the other sarrs that I bought at the botanical gardens. Maybe it is Daina's Delight

I know it's a type of leucophylla but not sure which cultivar

If I had to guess i'd say that was a leucophylla hybrid...maybe a xMoorei. Very nice sarracenia whatever it is.

Dana's Delight new pitchers are light-colored and darken as the pitchers age. Your first two pics are typical of new pitchers in less than optimal sun for this hybrid, but they will still darken up with age.

The second two pics look like S. White Sparkler maybe?

Ok cool ill look into it. That plant is actually sending up 3 new pitchers right now which are growing very vigorously. I'm moving to a new place in November and I'm praying that ill have a much sunnier spot lol

Interesting second hybrid, I'd have to say maybe an x readii or x bellii backcross with leuco. The stouter pitcher reminds me of rubra genes, along with the pronounced red colors.

Nice!!! The one that just opened measured 22" from the top of the soil!!!!
