I found this plant on a site that is being developed. What is it?

With a web search of my hunch, I figured out what this is, but I won't spoil the fun.
 
Um... looks like an iris, but then again, utric flowers look orchid-like. so maybe it's one of those really small flowers with iris-shaped petals.
 
It's an irus verna. Native to NC.
So, do I win an April Fools giveaway leftover, or something else maybe? :p
