Great species that we don't see often enough.

Very nice plant there mass. Love the huge peristome curling gradually into the trap :-O

hey thanks. The pitcher is pretty beat up due to the rebuilding of everything here, but I still think it's a hottie..
Never gets old for me.

I'm going for first place with this one. Sadly it's all I have at the moment and I hadn't entered in a while so I might as well!

Alaskan windowsill grown N. ventricosa from Andy. This plant has seen quite a lot in its day and I am quite pleased to see it producing pitchers like this even in my absence.

Awesome ventricosa! It is even more spectacular because it lives in Alaska. Great entry.

Great pitchers this month guys! I already see the winners, I don't think I could stand a chance...

I was out taking some photos and this caught my eye. Pretty much what I was looking for when I made the cross! Some have more stripes and spectabilis traits which is nice too.

N. sibuyanensis x (spectabilis x aristolchioides)

Let me guess, Tony, that pitcher is 20" tall, right?! ;-) Very nice indeed.

AHHHH if only Paul!!! It is pretty decent though around 4" on a 8" diameter plant. So I think it will still gain in size. Gotta love the size N. sibuyanensis gives to it's hybrids pitchers. Which is why I made the cross. I wanted super sized N. spectabilis x aristolochioides plants!

The specimen of that cross we have at Meadowview look completely different. The pitchers are so much darker and the splotches are more pronounced.
