Very nice entry Corky, love the peristome on that.
thats a nice dark ramispina!
You grow that ramispina as a lowlander??
  • #10
No question about it: Nepenthes plants have some of, if not the most beautiful traps of all carnivores.
  • #11
Yes and no. A well grow Leah Wilkerson or Adrien slack can give a run sometimes. But I do tend to agree with you as I am a nep guy. Lol

How long had it been in lowland condition? What temperature?
I just got a ramispina a few weeks ago. Curious of its chance of long term survival in lowland.
  • #19
I've had it for nearly 3 years in lowland conditions days of 92-95 an nights of 72-78F. It has never been more than 6" across though and the pitchers are typically very thin and don't last all that long. The humidity is always above 80%. It was on the brink of death many times before it finally started looking good. I would not recommend growing it this way it just takes forever for not a lot of results.

Time to get some different shapes in this lineup, N.aristolocloidies upper!
