NASC Auction will open in...

Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

Pitcher of the Month APRIL 2012!!

don't think my point is petty,i think it is petty to enter a mostly amateur comp when you know you will win,and have also entered in numerous other more pro POTM comps on other forums, but thats just me i guess

It raises the standard of excellence. Jeremiah grows Nepenthes just like the rest of us. We should have been starting our epic greenhouses way back when he decided to!

I kick myself all the time for not being as driven (or lucky) as Jeremiah.

All's fair in Nepenthes and War. :mwahaha:

thats fair enough then if thats what you guys think, i have never had anything worth entering and enjoy looking at the pics,i just thought some of you would find it unfair but thinking about it, its the taking part that counts,no offence was meant:)

Yeah, I know that absolutely nothing I grow can hold up against Jeremiah's plants. But I don't care! His plants are so darned nice to look at, that I don't complain!

Oh no I wasn't referring to your point, I was talking about last month's results when an amazing pitcher was voted dead last for questionable reasons.

1st time doing this, my vent x ephippata

PS: I don't care if anyone votes for my photo, honestly. I just enjoy sharing the best pics I can, of these truly astonishing plants. I enter the contest to do my part in bringing excellence to the thread, but the competition aspect does not appeal to me at all.

Truly. You raise the bar by introducing complex hybrids involving species that have never even been described or heard of before! ;)

Finally I have had these guys for over 6 months. :banana2:

So here's an entry instead of just inane debating.

Tough competition this month. Keep up the good work! I don't browse the forums as much while at school but I always make time to at least check out the POTM thread. It's really inspiring. So many skilled growers!

Here's my entry:

Both those plants are beautiful! That robcantleyi looks almost identical to it's mother! Now I'm sad I didn't get one when they came out.. :-(
