Been a  while since I posted some pics, so here's some from the lowland chamber.

One of my favorites! N. rafflesiana Singapore Giant, gotta love those floppy lids and rich coloring!

I love coloring on that Singapore Giant. Is your bicalcarata attacking a thermostat?

Looks that way doesn't it? lol its actually one of the sensors that monitors the climate of the chamber, I have another in the main greenhouse.

BTW, N. spathulata is NOT in the lowland chamber!!!!

Nice plants Dustin. - Does the N. spathulata grow better in lowland conditions? According to my knowledge it is a highland plant.

Hi Joachim, if you take note of one of my previous posts, I noted that "N. spathulata was not in the lowland chamber." It was a goof up by me.

Well, in the franophone language it would be N. x "ile de francais". Since I take and speak French thats how I call it, but in English it is N. x ile de france

For your edification, "Ile de France" is the old name for the Paris region, from Norman? times.

How big is your giant rafflesiana pitchers?
The lids won't sag so much of you keep the pot moist. I have the BE-99 clone and the tall neck starts to sag if it's been more than a few days since I've watered it. I even started keeping mine on a tray (with about 1/4" of water in the bottom) and letting the tray dry up for a few days before I water again, this seemed to halt the folding necks/lids, now they are wide open! Mine is about 28" diameter with 7" pitchers but still planted in a 6" azalea pot...

Hi, the N. rafflesiana is in a hanging pot Josh, so I don't think its very practical for it to be on the tray system lol. The lids tend to sag even if it is wet, must be a trait of this plant. Mike Catalani's big stock plant did the same thing and it was practically in muck (just alot of peat I guess). As for the size of it,the Singaporean Giant is around 24inches in diameter (60cm) with 7inch tall pitchers (20cm)
