NASC Auction will open in...

Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

OK, what did you all get from Santa?

I think im gonna try D. burmanii on my chia dinosaur. that could look really good! Too bad its a sauropod (long-neck) based thing though, not a predator!

Dude i want one of those "naughty" ones! Ive been looking plant-related to hang on my door. Can you PM a link?

Sorry guys, I've got no link to the naughty Chia pets. :(
I saw them at a walk-in novelty shop many years ago (Spencers probably, in the early 1990s).
If you're old enough you could try googling "naughty chia pet", "porn chia pet" or "novelty chia pet" and see what kinda weirdness the search comes up with.

Haha, I have a friend that works at a Spencer's - I'll have to ask him about that.

I think I found the one -

PS - My search for "naughty chia pet" turned up several pictures of Vince Vaughn. ???
Several pages later was this little gem:

Nope, Shaggy's not the one but that image does remind me of the old Saturday Night Live commercial Chia Hair Replacement for male pattern baldness. "Look stylish and garnish your salad at the same time" lol!

Man, if I worked at Spencers I'd probably come home with bags of crap instead of a paycheck.
I love useless junk, which is why I often stay out of Spencers - I'm quite liable to buy! :D

Haha. Jjust imagine, though - instead of the Chia sprouty things, Shaggy's head would be covered in an afro of D. scorpioides stems. Can you think of a more appropriate member of the Chia product line? I guess Tweety Bird with an afro would look kind of cool.

my dino's gonna be fly when i plant a D. gigantea tuber in the hole lol!!!
