Odd Ramispina Leaves?

Is this odd to anyone else?

That nursery tends to do that - did you just buy the plant? Let it recover for a while...

its been about 3-4 months, and those are new growth in the last few weeks.

You know... I'm not sure. I have a glabrata that has done something similar to that.

I just kept misting, and I fed it a little, and the next leaf that's coming out seems to be totally normal.

My ramispina did something similar, got smaller and burned out. Sorry, no idea what to do.

Sometimes if you suddenly introduce a plant to higher light levels than what it was previously used to it will grow smaller leaves for a while. As it continues to grow and adapt the growth normally expands back out from there. It's hard to tell with any certainty, but I'd guess it's probably just adapting to new conditions.

You could always send a message to the nursery you got it from...I've bought many plants from there in the past, and they have always been very helpful and quick to answer questions.

I am going to elaborate on what Raven01000 already said. She is correct about the plant being exposed to different conditions. I bought 2 ramispinas from that nursery several months back. I know they acclimate their Nepenthes to lower humidity, but where I live my plants receive less humidity than their greenhouse. Also, they receive more direct sun with me. The first few leaves got tiny, about half of what the originals were, but most recently the newer leaves have started to get bigger. Just give it time and dont move the plant around to much. If you keep changing its conditions it wont end well.

Also, I grow mine in pure long fiber sphagnum, helps increase humidity around the plant until it gets larger and doesnt need it. Young plants tend to do better with humidity a little higher. But even than, the highest it goes is like 30% on a day with lots of clouds. Right now nights are around 60%. Hope this helps.
