NASC Auction will open in...

Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!

Number of traps per vft

then its probably more than one plant Trigon, which means it can be divided.
VFTs make offshoots off of their rhizomes, and form new plants. its a great way of propogating VFT

I have had a good look and it seems to be the one plant. What is the normal amount of traps that a single vft should have?

Sorry Trigon,
but its very likely not one plant..

well..technically it might be, if all the rhizonmes are still attached to each other..

if you took it out of the media, rinse it off, you will probably find multiple rhizomes!
you could say "Its one plant, that has developed multiple rhizomes"
which really makes it one plant that is splitting naturally into several plants.

really those rhizomes could be considered individual plants, and can be easily divided.

One adult VFT, with one Rhizome, generally has about 5-8 indivudual traps at a time.
then new ones appear as older ones die off.

10 would be extreme, and unlikely IMO..
IMO, and based on my experience, I would say 5-8 active, living traps at a time (per rhizome) is normal.

can you post a photo of your plant?
