Hear the Call of Nepenthes
This bloomed at my grandmas house in Colombia when I was at vacations there, Thought I don't know the species. It hangs or cascades from a hanging basket.

That is very nice and I like the view past the wall. My guess is that it's an LC, an intergeneric hybrid of Laelia & Cattleya, but know just about nothing about those.
 
Wow..kinda old thread but I had to intervene. The plant your grandmother bloomed is a Coelogyne. I'm not positive of the species but it could be pandurata. It is not a relative of the Cattleya alliance but more related to Maxilaria, Gongora, and the like.
 
Thanks for intervening. I was way off and, looking at it now, don't know what I was thinking. I don't know Coelogynes but, having once been a big fan of Gongoras, the dangling blooms should have tipped me off that it wasn't from the Cattleya tribe.
