I know little of the black spots although a few of my orchids have it. It poses no danger to the plant but is not very attractive. I think a bit of copper or other fungicide spray might work just following the directions. New growth should not display the spots. It is possible it may spread by splashing water, but I would not be very worried. Anyway, enjoy your beautiful new orchid!
Keep an eye out if you go on a grocery run.
I had previously never seen this variety before,
But they seem to be popping up here and there this month.
Not sure if this is a new release, or if the nurserys are bringing them back,
But they could show up
