New orchid! (clueless owner!)

my wonderful boyfriend bought me a gorgeous orchid for valentine's day- the tag says it's an Odontoglossum x 'Marguerite Holm'. the only orchid I've cared for til now is an ordinary phaleonopsis hybrid- any tips on odont's i should know about?

I can't help you; but, I will say "WOW." That is one beautiful plant. Nice boyfriend you have. Whatever it needs, I hope you can easily make it flower in the future.

good light and just let go dry between waterings. I would say douple the light of a Phal. I grow alot of my oncid hybrids like that one in cattleys light. A few hours of sun in the AM or evening. No noon sun. Pretty easy and reliable bloomer for me. My Odontoglossum xwildcat "ocilot" is in spike now. Let me know if it starts looking unhappy. we will fix you up.
