Nepenthes Truncata "Titan" × Truncata "Tyrant" from Predatory Plants.

I'm excited to see how this grows up since its seed grown.

Yeah I forgot I was part of these forum. I can start posting here too.

How old is yours? Those are some huge leaves!!!

I'd say it's about three/half years old. I bought a medium sized plant, so I'm not sure how old they are at that point.

I'm excited now.

What conditions did you grow yours in?

I grew outside under a shade during most of our warm and humid Florida summer, and it really seemed to enjoy it. Recently though, I had to bring it indoors due to the lack of light and cold weather. Still doing good though. Really hardy plant .

Neat. Hopefully it does well for me.

A lot of us in the FB group purchased them and waiting to see what each look like once they get older.

My order went through a long transition with USPS and got damaged in the cold. The pitchers are starting to die back.

Since they're dying anyways I put two osmocote pellets in them.

Both pitchers are dead. Hopefully the fertilizer I provide before they died helps.

Also there is a new leaf getting ready to pop out. Hopefully this is a huge leaf jump.

I also moved the plant lower in the grow tent as I believe it was too close to the light. Also I was informed that this truncata likes lower light levels.

Great progress. I really like N. truncata :)

It's starting to grow faster. I need to purchase a larger grow tent now that the plant is basically touching the light. I reduced the light to the lowest setting so I don't cook the leaves.

It's been 9 months since purchase. I wish I would've grabbed another one since it's seed grown. Would be nice to compare.

I am following with interest. Your plant seems on its way to becoming spectacular - and Big.

I'm thinking it's getting close to repoting this plant. It's currently in a 7inch pot and the truncata is growing low and starting to overhang the pot its in. I think it's eventually become heavy on one side and fall over.

I'm not sure what size I should upgrade to. 7inch to gallon? Would that be too big of a jump? This truncata drinks a lot so the current media dries out pretty fast.

I say go for it. It looks like it's growing great and it will fill it up surprisingly quick. Love the peristome shape on this guy.

Well I went ahead and transplanted it in the larger pot. I'm trying a different media to allow for more airflow to the roots. The truncata was growing in 50/50 mix of akadama and pumice. Now I'm going with coco coir chips. I raised it very well with RO/DI water to remove any salts.

I positioned the plant in a way that it would grow across the top layer of the media for more support should it become too heavy to support itself.

Would be nice it it allowed me to train it to grow upwards.

I transplanted the truncata back in November on the 15th and all growth has stalled. The plant seems to be in shock. The leaves aren't uncurling. The leaf in the photo has been like that for weeks.

Any tips or do I just wait it out until the plant get past the transplant shock?

It looks like you transplanted it to a different media, is it considerably drier than it was before?
