Nepenthes leaf rooting

After almost a year in a jar of water, this Nep still keeps insisting on sending roots out of just one leaf. No rooting hormone, just a really weird Nep

I don't even know how to pot up such a monstrosity so I guess I'll just leave it in a jar forever. It's 'thorellii' (from about 8 years ago) x campanulata.

Before this plant, me either. First time I've seen it in all my time growing Neps.

If there wasn't a picture, I would have called bull...first time I've heard of this happening and the first time I've ever heard of a case of anything other than stem cuttings forming roots.
