Hi Everyone,
I have recently started a mini nepenthes collection in a small greenhouse I have converted to house tropical plants.

This thread will just be a running album of some hand-picked photos from my Flickr page.
I am really interested to see if you are growing some of the same species or hybrids and to see how they compare. Leave a comment if you have any questions or other inquiries.

Thanks!

Hey, for only starting recently you have some very nice and well grown nepenthes. Especially that 'Predator'. Never had luck tracking that one down. I do have the reverse cross of your truncata x ventricosa, yours seems more truncata influenced than mine. Really looking forward to see what else you post in this thread.

Thanks! I am reviving an old hobby, so it was easy to acquire a few larger specimens. Ebay has helped, haha.

Really nice stuff, spathulata x jacq is one of my favorites. Been on the look out for that but it seems the availability for it is pretty low.

Hey!

Yeah, thanks, I got it from a Native Exotics auction and, in 5 months, it has grown twice the size (now 12 in. across). I'm a big fan of the color it holds from Jacq.

For some reason flava hybrids are just so very appealing...
By the way, the robcantleyi cross is 'Queen of Hearts' x 'King of Spades'; female always comes first.

Oh oops! Yeah, I had heard of that, but forgot which one was female for the Robs.

Great looking plants! Does the truncata stay striped as it gets darker?

Its been pretty hot here too. Makes for much tougher growing. Despite that all you neps are looking great.

It keeps some striping, but it is one of those where you have to look closely haha.

I am only showing the nice growth. As for the hot summer challenges, I would say 75% of my plants stopped pitchering or suffered burn. Surprisingly, N. Villosa was not one of them!

Thanks! Nice Glabrata you have there.

I don't have a picture of my setup currently but I can get one soon. It's kind of like a shed with a window and I have added lights, humidifier and heaters.

Currently the daily high temperatures are in the low 70s. Some of my more intermediate plants have slowed down a bit and pitchers have died off. Here are a few others!

Very nice 'Predator', I'm jealous for sure. It's not so easy to find anymore.

I like the N. Platychila x Vogellii (and N. Jacquelineae of course!)
They all look nicely grown, I see a few weeds in there that will spread like mad! I received some Neps with the weed shows directly below the N. Klossii, they spread quickly and their seeds shoot out and spread like crazy as well. The root systems can become quite intense and I completely repotted a Nepenthes they gave me that was potted and just bout the whole 3" pot was roots of that plant and none really of the Nepenthes.
