Nepenthes flava

Flava eh? :p. I thought someone just made a name mistake and meant Sarracenia flava.

hmm... that's weird. Not sure Flava was the right name to pick.

What does 'flava' mean anyways? Yellow?

Flava is a colorless crystalline derivative of flavone. At least that's the chemistry definition.

itl latin for yellow. S. flava being the yellow pitcher

I was rather disappointed with this naming, too. I think it's a trite name for a fabulously unique plant.

All the good names are already taken.
What the alternative are even lamer...naming it after a person, or after the place it was found (I HATE that)
