woah! it did?!?!?! thats terrible! might there be a reintroduction? is that the same with any other Nepenthes?
alex

are you sure that you talangensis came from MT Srduggins, as i have seen their availability list for the past 4 years and i have never seen it before?

D.

Well, I received it from someone who bought it from Tony P and it has MT on the label. It was looking pretty bad when I got it but has rebounded pretty well with cool nights. I'm sure it is older than it looks having regressed by being grown too warm.

Hi Steve,

Was it my label? I don't recall N. talangensis from MT. I have a single plant from Wistuba that I made the occasional cutting from as well as BE plants from seed/TC.

Tony

OK, now I need to double check when I get home. Sorry for the confusion. I'm probably looking at too many labels in one day and then going by my somewhat reluctant memory..

Edit: Yes it is from BE, sorry about that.

steve, nice to see that the plants you got from me is doing great. god job. and if i remember it correctly, it was a seed grown plant that i got from tony.

here is a picture of the same plant when it still has a pitcher before it went down hill

if you can, please post a pic of the whole plant.

hope that helps

This pic is a few weeks old when the first pitcher opened. It now has at least 3 pitchers. I won't say exactly how many it has since my memory has proven somewhat cloudy. I can post a new pic tomorrow.

wow steve, your one good nep grower!! if my calculations are correct, it took about 9 months for that n. talangenisis to bounce back from the state when i had it to this nice happy plant.

eric

It probably would have bounced back faster, but everything slows down in the winter here. In a couple months this could be a beast.

Here's a pic of the argentii pitcher I got from you. It is pretty small.

The ramispina is doing well, too.

My N. talangensis (from Tony) has been growing along fine for about 2 years but NEVER made a pitcher! I don't understand it. Plants around pitcher (hamata, burbidgeae, aristolochia) but never any pitchers from this one (or the N. macfarlanei come to think of it). Any ideas?

Temps: days 65-80*F / nights 40-55*F (year round variation)

Misting daily (as I water the mounted orchids)
Watering via Soil flushes 1-2 times a week depending upon temps
re-Potted at least twice in the time I've had them
