N. Sanguinea Questions

elsantaclause

A windowsill grower
Hi I just bought a N. Sanguinea from Andy and I was wondering if 5 hours of bright morning sun and 10 hours of shadish-bright light was good enough? And if I go away on vacation for 8 days can I leave a saucer of water under the Sanguinea?

Thanks

yes and yes! you may see some burn at first though. but itll come back after 1 leaf :)

its through a window btw though

yeah just leave it wherever you are going to grow it don't move it outside and then bring it inside at night. Nepenthes sanguinea is a very easy species to grow and will grow in a wide range of temperature.
Although during winter with lower light levels and all I do recommend that you hang some fluorescent lights over it about 3-6" above the plant.

yea during the winter I plan on putting back into a terrarium.

Oh and If I leave water under it for 8 days will it cause to roots to rot?
