Stovepipe (The Beast) RIP My friend.
I have two plants. The older they get the better they keep getting!
The smaller plant is showing it's color pretty good already.
The larger plant just opened up this pitcher about a week and a half ago.
Still a little red, but getting darker every day. I hope it darkens up a little more for the December contest when it starts. In time I think many people out there are going to have some really special plants of this breeding!!!
Thanks for looking.

 Probably the nicest royal truncata I have ever seen!

Woah.....how do you grow that thing?....I want DETAILS! :-O

Holy cow, I second what Exo said O.O

Thanks guys!
I just grow it in a tank in my basement along with all of my other highlanders.
One 4 tube T-5 light on top, a fogger, a fan and temps low 50's night to mid 70's day.
When winter really hits it usually goes down to the mid 40's night to mid to upper 60's day. Humidity never drops below 70%, and usually is between 80 - 90%.

I'd say we all have a great deal to look forward to as our royals mature!

WOW!! Those are incredible hope mine eventually look that nice

Matt, how far do you keep it from the lights exactly? And are they T5 high output bulbs? That thing is amazing.

Now I regret not getting one  that's one heck of a specimen! Congratulations!

I haven't really checked, but I would say the light is about a foot above the tank.
They are High output T-5's. They are from worms way. (VitaLUME) two bulbs are for grow, and two are for bloom. The bloom bulbs look much redder. I will have to check, I think they might be the VitaLUME Plus bulbs. They seem to work pretty good though.

Only a foot? Wow, I need to move mine up a bit..

About a foot is a guesstimate. I will measure it tomorrow.
I will also check on exactly what bulbs I have too.
