For the longifolia: put them in pure peat moss (they grow like crazy in that), 2 months at 14 Celsius, after you give them heat (about 25 Celsius) and they'll make flowers (I have like 6 longifolia flower in my terrarium).

I better write that down, that could be kinda useful next time an orchid show comes up..... How'd you figure that out?

-Ben

It just happened like that. I wasn't trying anything, they grow in my basement and we have low temperature at winter (9 F right now). When I added something to heat the aquarium, they started flowering.

awesome pics! love the Heliamphora and Cephalotus. did you grow them from seed or from division/cuttings?

also, are all the plants you posted from a single terrarium? what size is it? what temperature and light settings do you use?

I grow them from division.

My tropical terrarium (50 gallons): 90% humidity, 25 Celsius
My highland terrarium (100 gallons): 90% humidity (fogger at night), 14 Celsius

Both of them receive light from my 400 watts HPS.

Hey Dom, would you mind posting a picture of the entire setup, lights and all? I'm also interested in your lighting specs as well as temperature specs.

Thanks!

Dom, I just realized that you posted above about all your lighting and humidity details, so scratch that request! I would still love to see an overall picture of your setup (if possible).

Nice!
I don't know how you do it! When I tried HPS I got etoliation :( I'm using a conversion bulb now so it's all gravy :)
