My Cacti

A San Pedro Cacti.

Its grown about 4 inches since I've gotten it about 6 months ago. I love IT!

Very nice!

This picture made me think of this really cool cactus I've been growing for a while. I actually bought it as a cutting (not sure if that's the right term for a cactus) with the intention of using it to save a dying fluorescent red cactus that I purchased for my girlfriend at Home Depot. That poor little guy ended up dying, but the cutting I bought is still planted in pure perlite today, growing like a madman in my east-facing bedroom window. I just don't have the heart to get rid of it!

Is it odd that it can flourish in pure perlite?

I dont think so I'm sure they don't get allot of nutrient's from Soil in the Desert, its just a bunch of sand particles usually.

And yea it is called a cutting, i got it as a 12 inch cutting.
