Grows in total shade. Excellent in tanks but becomes large with age. PH=acidic (2-5). Very easy, keep moist and shady with occasional diluted watering of Miracid or equivalent. The leaves really do look and feel like reptilian skin especially reminiscent of crocodyle used for clothing. This particular specie has only been recently introduced to culture within the year.
