Meyer Lemon Issues

Hello,

So I have a small Meyer Lemon Tree that seems to be having some issues. It bloomed a few weeks ago and is now fruiting. We have been watering about once a week. The plant has suddenly taken a turn for the worse and has yellowing leaves and is dropping them. The fruit appears to still be growing. It receives atleast 6 hours of direct sunlight a day.

i agree with Cody, but if that doesn't work i could just be a seasonal change my ficus are dropping old leaves about now too

How long has the lemon been in that spot?? e.g. was it recently moved there from another? How warm is the room? Although yellowing older leaves are a sign of nitrogen deficiency it looks different and would be more gradual than you see here. These leaves are dropping from sudden change in conditions and/or less than optimal conditions which could include it going very dry at some pont (you would have noticed this....it would have been very wilted at one time) or loss of roots due to overwatering. However, you probalby moved this here in the last couple weeks (?). You say you water once a week but that is meaningless.....it could need more or less water than that depending on light, growth, heat (room heaters dry soil out), etc. etc. We are almost into Spring............and it would be good to gradually introduce it to outdoor condtions for the summer once we are past the risk of frost, and maybe pot it in some fresh media anyway at that time. The newer growth looks quite healthy on this plant.

Maybe your plant is getting sunburned--give it some shade when the sun is at its highest temperature, in the early afternoon.
