Squamosa is very interesting. Straight sand? Where di you folks get the pretty sand? Does that dew seed like the others? I would love to get my hands on some.

60:40 silica & peat with a thick top layer of straight silica. I got this sand from a friend of mine in Oregon. I guess it's sand blasting sand. This species is not self stratifying, no.
I've always had one, or two, or three. But I've also always found someone that wants them. And after my big 10"er died.. I just never kept one for myself.
Thought I'd give them another "real" effort in my own collection.
