Lux/PAR/Colour spectrum for indoor sphagnum

Hey team!

Experimentinf with growing some UK sphagnum varieties indoors. Have them growing well but looking to optimise light use. Have been using warm white LEDs so far.

Any knowledge of this would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi there! I don't know of any specifics but I know of at least a few people directly that have sphagnum growing in pots of their CPs under varring lights with seemingly little or even no difference to the sphag even given different light color and general distance differences. Are you just trying to grow some at all, or are you trying out different varieties looking for a specific look or something?

Hey thanks for getting back to me. I'm looking to grow as much as possible as efficiently as possible, ie highest growth rate vs lowest viable energy cost/Wattage on the lights. So, would like to know if anyone has any specific recomendations for what has worked for them.

While I do grow sphagnum as a top-dressing under LED lights I haven't really made a study out of it. I'll be interesting in what others have to say.
