well i bought an atropurpurea.......
lol :)
it did get transplanted this year and the other pitchers are lightly veined at best. and it just opened yesterday.......

Give it time. A more mature pitcher earlier next season might develop a full red colouration.

Very nice!
It's been so hot here, that almost every Sarr pitcher is crispy or only has phyllodia. I and they can't wait for cooler weather!

Yeah, I must say, having recently bought an "atropurpurea" and finding a bit of green pigmentation on the hood, I'm in the same boat as you.... It may just need to settle in and adjust to the environment or mature a bit before showing its true colors (literally)

Beautiful plants, I need to find a place selling atros, as that's one plant I've been looking for for a while. Already got the leuco, a hybrid between the two would be awesome.

im not sure if the atro is going to flower next season. i really hope so. my big guys are the leuco a regular flava and a copper top. the atro and jonesii 'red' might be a few seasons off. :(
