LFS holds way more water and shouldn't be used on it's own in most cases, live is almost perfect on it's own. Live costs about 10x more than dried, you also get way more LFS in one package, so it's very compact and expands heavily with water. LFS can be reconstituted into live if you know what you're doing.
Honestly, just leave them in the same pot if you don't mind having an N. Ventricosa bush. One caution though, they REALLY like to send basals out later in life, so you'll most likely have an intertwined mess in about a years time depending on how old your plant is.
