Iperial Bromeliad

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here has heard of or keeps the imperial bromeliad, species Alcantarea imperialis.
I cannot seem to find any in the USA, they are all in Australia for some reason.

anyone keep it? I wanted to get one for my yard for summer time and then winter it indoors.

cool, thanks! do you think it would be best to wait until spring to buy one? just so that it gets the most out of summer and wouldnt get stunted over winter in lower light? or do you think it doesnt matter for something as hardy as a brom?
