Here is an interesting article from the NY Times Science section about a new book: The Evolution of Insects by Grimaldi and Engels.  I came across this from the amber discussion group that I belong to.  Keep growing as many plants as you can...it'll never be enough!

Well its common knowledge that insects, spiders and other creatures of the big happy family (all the arthropods), living under water or on ground are very adaptive. Spiders and insects are considered to be the perfection of evolution by some.
