id my neps?

Assuming I can figure out this pic thing, here are my neps. Bought in San Antonio, Texas and labeled as derooseplants, but with so genera/species info. From another post the smaller of the two (and the faster grower I might add) seems to be an N ventrata.

Alas they both suffered some damage this winter, but are coming back nicely.

I plan to do better this winter, and I am wondering if I can grow these two here (it gets HOT)
what others might I consider do you think? Neps in specific and cp's in general...
