It depends on the quality of your water. Most CP react unfavorably when the PPM of the water is over 100. Call your local water authority and ask what the PPM in your water is...the closer to 0 the better. If there are dissolved salts, these will accumulate in your pot as the water evaporates and will likely damage the plant over time. A safe bet is to flush the pot with rainwater whenever possible, and to use only rain or distilled water.
