H. minor "Burgundy Black" & H. minor var. pilosa

Like cory said, its pretty easy. Heli can be unkillable beasts under the good growing conditions.

Ok, so what would you guys recommend as a beginner heliamphora?

H. minor x heterodoxa.

One of the easiest helis out there, and relatively common and cheap (for a heli)

It remains rather small, and doesn't require night cooling.

H. heterodoxa x nutans or heterodoxa x ionasii,

favi has a good thread just below this of his experience with one of those two... with nothing but a clamp light or two, and its looking awesome.
From the tone of the thread, it's his first too...

Ok, so what would you guys recommend as a beginner heliamphora?

I find the heterodoxa crosses to be the most forgiving in my conditions, such as Heliamphora minor X heterodoxa and Heliamphora heterodoxa X ionasii. It's still necessary to get conditions suitable though.

UPDATE: Av8tor1 and me posted at the same time and interestingly we have both said the same cross

Its nice to how the nectar spoon turn from red to purple when the pitcher get older.

Finally a giant pitcher!
After 4 months, its about time!
And the nectar spoon is still not fully open
