Growing sphagnum

Fill a 10x20 greenhouse flat to 1-2" deep with wet peat or long fiber sphagnum.

Run a handful of live sphagnum moss through a food processor briefly to chop it into small segments, then seed the greenhouse flat with it.

Cover with a humidity dome, and keep under grow lights.

Each small piece of live sphagnum will continue to grow, and the surface will soon be covered with a crop of live sphagnum moss.

I tried that, except I didnt chop it up. I just cut it up and mixed it with the soil... works fine
