fungicide GreenCure®

Fryster

--Freedom Czar--
Does anyone have first-hand experience with a fungicide called GreenCure®??

http://www.greencure.net

Its active ingredient is potassium bicarbonate.

I’m curious on how our CP’s would react with it as an all-around organic fungicide.

I’m not a chemist so I don’t know about chemical<--->plant reactions… ;)

My main interest in it would be as a soil treatment and use in seed-starting. (Damp-off fighter)

Oops.

On further research, I see that GreenCure is only for use on the plants themselves and not a soil treatment. Bummer.............

Potassium bicarbonate is alkaline and putting it on a plant raises the pH of the surface and makes an inhospitable environment for some microbes. You'd want to be careful of applying much KHCO3 to the potting mix of most CPs.
