a young one is what I first thought too. I've only found them the size of small children.. literally.

No, it's definitely not Hen of the Woods. We call those Turkey Tails. They're much thinner and harder than Hen, they feel like a thin shred of wood. It's the middle ones that I don't really know. I just thought they would all make some interesting pics.

Some mighty nice fungi shots there. I haven't seen puffballs in ages. Used to find them all the time in my parents' lawn when I was a kid.
