Nice S. x catesbaei! My only open one has already dropped its petals or I would have inculded it.. I love the softness of the color, I think mine is more pinkish than yours, or the color of your pic isn't exactly true.

Thanks Andrew. I bought this one from you a some of weeks ago. I don't know if my camera did anything to to the colors, but I think it's pretty spot on. I can't wait for pitcher production to get up and running (it's still cold here).

Or my monitors :-p I don't have a pic of mine on here to compare *shrug* lol I bet some of the others will put up a flower though, so far only one of those has... Actually, the top petal on yours is about right... the one nearest the camera is a little red but probably just the shadow/darkness of right there or something :-P

Was that flower already on the plant I sent you? Or did it come up after you got it?

The stalk was already there when you sent it to me. It was pretty tall too. However, I think it grew during transit and became a bit confused. When it arrived, the flower bud was facing upwards and the stalk was bent (there is a picture of it a couple of pages back on this thread).

It eventually fixed itself and bloomed shortly thereafter.

Nice looking set up wolf!! How deep is that shelf? It just seems like it'd be hard to get to stuff in the back. but then again.. I'm short :-P

Jossa- ah found it! I forgot I had seen it lol It's good to know the effort I put in to ship plants with their flowers are worth it. :) Also good to know they right themselves! I just got quite a few of sarrs in that look even more confused that your picture in the start of this topic hehe

Andrew

Hopefully my photography will improve over the next week or two, bit rusty lol. The flowers are now beginning to open up, though it will be another two weeks before I get some real shows.

H169 - Joanne Bates - The petals seem to be quite tight. Not sure if this is normal or not ?

A bit pathetic, but here's what I found after I trimmed the dead foliage:

Now that the blooms have gone and pollination was a success, the ovaries are beginning to swell nicely.
