Flower spike ?

Is my orchid sending up a new flower spike it doesn't look like a root.

loiks spikish , but needs a few more days to tell for sure ive been fooled before, but i dont think the roots section like that its a smoother progression.

awesome thanks i read if it looks like a mitten at the tip its a spike and it kinda looks like a mitten.
