thats a condition known as "false vivipary"
unusual, but not unheard of, with VFT's..

Nice! Thanks for the term. Any idea on how long I can let it be up there before I have to plant it? I guess the flower stalk will die off, huh...

This is the second weird thing that happened with my VFTs this year. I got a baby VFT growing in a pot of pitcher plants. I didn't have any VFT seeds that could have gotten in there.

At Repticon Sarasota, there was a guy selling exotic plants, and among them, were VFTs which had entire plants on the flower stalk. I was SO amazed, I've never seen such a thing before.

You can let the baby traps grow into plants Check out this thread (at the bottom). Those almost look adult-sized
