Ahhh, another one to add to the list. Again, another demonstration of the fact that sepals are modified leaves. Sometimes these root, sometimes not. I would wait a bit, and then bend the scape down to the substrate, anchoring it so the plantlett has contact with the substrate.

Does this ever happen with VFTs?
 
Schnell stated in his book "the carnivorous plants of the united states and canada" that he believes it`s a responce to frosty nights and warm days.
