I think we spent a good 3ish hours in this red flava field.. that's why I managed to get this much too many photos hahaha!

These puny Drosera are apparently species capillaris

It's interesting to me how these pitcher plants can be growing in the woods - everyone says "OMG as much sun as possible at all times 25 hours every day!!" but.. these plants look good to me! And obviously there must be some sort of nutritional value to the soil otherwise I'm sure trees wouldn't be able to grow out of it.

I'm glad we finally found a site with a lot of live S.psittacina because I was starting to get worried with all the dried out/dead looking ones we found the first day we were out in the field...

and then, Splinter Hill Bog!! It was very crispy here too, with the occasional wet spot. Still found some VERY nice leucophylla, and other plants too of course And you can't forget the butterflies either!
