do truncata's make basals or vine?
how are they propagated?
mine is so compact that it looks like it would be hard to take a cutting

They can vine and produce basal shoots. They can be propagated like any other nepenthes. If you plant is too compact, I would suggesting waiting for a basal shoot before talking any cuttings.

Amen to what Dave said. It will elongate, just give it a few years....don't really hear of too many truncata cuttings.....
