Great heli Butch, as always! I too am wondering what species it is?

Heliamphora tatei var. neblinae x hispida (naturally occuring hybrid)
It's the mother of the division I plan on putting in the NASC auction.

The NASC 2010 auction "baby" ;)

"Heliamphora tatei var. neblinae x hispida (Cerro N Natural hybrid. Very pretty. I did not expect them to be so spectacular as they turned out! We now selected a clone that certainly is one of the most beautiful Heliamphoras I've ever came across."

Av

I find it a very easy and very robust grower. However, others have reported difficulties with this species.
Here is the "Beast" in May 2008 ;)

Nice! I have one of its parent species (H. hispida) and I would be happy if it looked half as good when its an adult.

Perfect. Your helis are always great. If I could figure out a way to control heat, I'd be getting T5's in a split second just based on how your helis love them. And that thing put on some size in just two years.

Looks awesome, Butch! Mine's just splitting into a hundred growth points without producing adult pitchers. I'd have to check to see how old it is. Good growing! Can't wait to see if mine grows up half this nice!

Ive found this species particularly hungry.... when young I would mix up a slurry of ground up fish food flakes and RO water. Then I would pressure force feed the immature pitchers using a small eye dropper.

I would also occasionally force feed a weak orchid mix the same way

The response in growth rate was impressive

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)
