Photo shot yesterday of my precious D. capillaris Long Arm from Tate’s Hell Swamp in Florida growing in a luxurious carpet of live sphagnum moss. The long upright leaves of this form of capillaris must be an adaptation for growing in semi-aquatic conditions. I’d like to grow it partly submerged in water, as I have seen D. intermedia, but I suppose that would only spur the growth of yucky algae. Sphagnum looks better.
