It turns out that after doing a little research on the crabs that came home in the shells I collected at St. Simons island were a marine form on hermit crab. Clibanarius taeniatus The yellow striped hermit crab. I was wonderinf if anyone has any info on their care. I need a quick setup, and I will possibly ship some to folks who have marine tanks if interested. I wanted the shells, and was unaware that all the shells had mermits in them.
